Born Norwich 1948

 

Degree in Fine Art - Hornsey College of Art – 1966 - 69

 

Post Graduate Masters in Sculpture - Chelsea School of Art – 1970

 

Exhibited in Young Contemporaries Exhibitions 1969 at the FBA Gallery and 1970 at The Royal Academy and at the Serpentine’s First Show in 1970.

 

Awarded Arts Council Sculpture Prize, work went on tour of UK.

 

Sound Sculpture project performed at the ICES 72 sound festival at the Chalk Farm Round House, London 1972.

 

Taught at various art colleges including Goldsmiths, Hull, Eastbourne and Hastings Colleges.

 

At present lives in Hastings, East Sussex. Working on Primal Forms series of sculptures.

 

Interested and influenced by the art and cultures of past ages and diverse cultural heritages. In particular India and the Far East.

 

My work stems from an appreciation of Nature’s order, the way natural phenomena unfold and express their functions.

 

An early association with cathedral architecture established links to Sacred Geometry and the Regular Solids. This has developed over the years, culminating in the Primal Form expressions.
